Minutes of Meeting
July 11, 2002
The meeting at Wedgewood was called to order at 7:40 pm by Dan Driscoll. Minutes from the June 8, 2002 meeting were approved.
Treasurer
John Perazzelli presented the treasurer’s report. The checking account balance is $6,122.07. All reps should bring a blank check to the next meeting to pay the balance on their accounts and for splash fees. The splash fees are $3.00 per individual event and $6.00 per relay event.
Swimming
Stroke and turn officials should make the initial call on relay takeoffs. The referee or starter should confirm. Your hand should be raised on all DQs.
If a club has no swimmers going to a session at the Championship Meet, let Ron know. You may not have to supply timers. The 12 & under boys will be in the first session, 12 & under girls in the second session, and 13 & over boys and girls in the third session. E-mail Ron the names of any good officials that are available to work the Championship Meet.
Computer
Joe reviewed the contents of the July 11 packet. Relay selection for the Championship Meet is as follows: all 8& unders, top 32 9-10 and 11-12, top 24 13-14 and 15-18. Relay cards are due at the seeding meeting. Put the label on the same side as the names. Up to 12 names may be included on the cards.
The top time report will be on the web only. Cherry Bowl and Burlington County will also be on the web. Be sure to check with swimmer in advance as to which events they want to swim in. The relay selection forms are due with the entries by noon Monday to Dominic.
The seeding meeting is will be at Woodcrest on July 25, 2002 at 7:30. Bring a friend to help check entries.
Championship Meet
Team ads are due Monday, July 22 . Shirts and pins will be distributed at the seeding meeting. Team banners and flags should be brought to the seeding meeting. Fax the CN8 fact sheet by July 24. The seating policy will be enforced. Additional information can be obtained at CBSwimClub.org.
The following teams have volunteered to have their team area in the dance room: Covered Bridge, Kingston, Erlton, Riverdel, and Fox Hollow.
New Business
The rescheduling of meets is based on a gentlemen’s agreement. Once you commit you cannot change your mind.
Any rule changes should be proposed at the October meeting.
Anyone with interest in a board position should notify Dave Katz.
