The meeting at Riverton Country Club was called to order at 8:05 pm by Dan Driscoll. Minutes from the October9, 2001 meeting were approved.

New representatives, Steve Stull, Wenona; Steve Ries, Covered Bridge; Pat Hafner, Pomona; and Mike Brennan, Woodstream were introduced.

George Breen from GCIT is retiring.

Bert German will be setting up the clinics in June.

All clubs should be upgrading to Team Manager II for Windows. This can be ordered from the internet through the Hy-Tek web site. The link is www.hy-tekltd.com.

Covered Bridge is in the planning stages for the Championship Meet.

Art Kollmeier must have all B-Meet requests by the end of January.

The rule change proposed by Art Kollmeier that all relays be official was discussed. Most of the discussion centered around how the points would be awarded if this proposal was adopted. There was also concern whether this would encourage coaches to swim swimmers up and whether we would need additional judges. Also, if this proposal is approved, a swimmer swimming on a relay would count as an official swim for Championship Meet purposes and if a swimmer jumped in the water before the last swimmer finished only that relay should be disqualified. This proposal will be voted on at the March meeting. See attached proposal for details.

Dan Driscoll’s proposal that we change the distances for the 15-18 girls IM, backstroke, and breaststroke to conform with the distance progression of the boys will be discussed and voted on at the March meeting.

The Old Orchard Mini-Meet will be held July 14 and the Barclay Midi-Meet will be July 21.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at GCIT at 8:00PM.
