Computer

Ø      Joe Crick distributed the new Tri County Championship qualifying times for 2008.

Ø      Joe reminded everyone of the computer training to be held at the end of May.  Information regarding the training - times, dates, etc - is on the TCSPA webpage.

Swimming Coordinator

Ø      David Katz e-mailed all of the details of officials clinics, rep meeting, coaches meeting, and scoring table training that will be held on Saturday, June 7 and other dates.   All officials MUST be recertified this year.

Ø      All of this information is also on the webpage.

Ø      David stressed that, during referee training, extensive information concerning place judges will be given to referees.  It will be the responsibility of all referees to relay this information to place judges at each pre-meet meeting.

Ø      David recommended that all Tri Co reps become certified as Stroke and Turn Officials, not so much so they can officiate, but so they can become more familiar with the technical swimming rules.

Ø      Paul Patterson noted that all reps must attend the June 7 meeting or send a delegate in their place as meet cards, meet ribbons, etc. will be distributed at this time.  Nothing will be hand delivered.

Old Business

Ø      Gene Howard thanked Lou D’Angelo for keeping the website current.

Ø      Lou urged reps to have all members, parents, etc. to contact their TRI COUNTY REP to contact Lou about changes on the website.  Only the Tri County Rep can ask Lou to make changes or adjustments, or have club jobs posted on the site.

Ø      Lou would like each club to e-mail him a picture of their club’s banner, mascot, etc. to post on the TCSPA website in order to spruce up the look of the website.

Ø      Vote on a proposal to modify Rule 13 – Section1 (see document below)

The vote on the proposal to create a timeline for appeals was tabled at the March                               2008 meeting.  A vote was taken and it passed favorably 30 – 1.

New Business

Ø      Barbara Milch will have more information regarding Tri-Co Championship Meet at the June meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Kathy Fitzpatrick
