MINUTES OF MEETING
MARCH 11, 2003
The meeting at Riverton Country Club was called to order at 8:05 p.m. by David Katz.
Minutes from the January 14, 2003 meeting were approved.
Treasurer
Paul Patterson reported expenses amounted to $669.00 leaving a balance of $12,686.82. Expect to add $31,000 to that with dues, which are due by April 15th. This gives us time for the clubs who still need to order rule books or " b" meet ribbons. Add this amount to your bill. Bills will be "trued up" at the July meeting at Woodcrest.
Swimming
Ron Kane reports the tri county qualifying times and clinics will be posted on the web site.
Computer
Joe Crick reports computer training will be the same as last year. Clubs can interchange nights if need be. Progress made taking data out of team manager and generating meet sheets. Still working on cards. Whiteout tape will be needed at scoring table.
Looking for help to run scoring table for tri-county. Let Joe know if you are interested.
Awards
Crown Trophy won the bid for awards. Awards are on order.
Nick Saunders makes mention of the need to update tri-county records. Joe Crick will handle.
"B" meets are to be posted on the web site according to Mr. Kollmier.
Old Business
Motion by Nick Saunders, seconded Joe Crick that once a rule change is voted on, it cannot be revisited for 3 years. This was brought to everyones attention as a procedural issue.
Art Kollmier questions if there should be a contingency? An issue cannot be reinitiated without 75% of the voting members (27 clubs). All aye.

New Business
G.C.I.T. The tri county board met with Jack Schwerzler who explained that major construction will be going on beginning in April 2003. They will add a gym and classrooms as well as a WaWa. This will take over l year. Construction will extend to the parking lot as well. In regards to the Tri-County meet modifications would have to be made. Parking will still be available in the back. The front entrance will be closed. All entrance would have to be through the cafeteria. Also, there are concerns from the Fire Marshall who will enforce the 500 spectator rule for the upstairs. Meeting to be held with the Fire Marshall. The board feels we should try to keep the meet inside if possible. Discussion is ongoing. Tavistock is working diligently.
Comment
Once again, for the championship meet, there will be no recall. There will continue to be recall in the dual meets. Ron Kane states whistle starts are too tough for summer swimming.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m. Next meeting at Riverton on Tuesday, May 13, 2003.
Respectfully submitted,
Patricia Hafner, Secretary
