MINUTES OF THE TRI COUNTY MEETING              May 8, 2007

 

President Gene Howard called the meeting to order at 8:03 PM at Riverton Country Club.  The minutes of the March meeting were approved.

 

New rep from Sunnybrook was introduced:

Treasurer’s Report

Ø      Steve Ries reports there is a balance of $42,477.55 in the treasury.

Ø      Beginning balance of $19,651.55.

Ø      Deposits of $31,426.00

Ø      Bills paid in amount of $8,600.00

Ø      Reminder to any club that TCSPA dues were due by April 15, 2007. 

 

Swimming

Ø      David Katz, Coordinator distributed the Clinic Schedule and Scoring Table    Schedule.

Ø      June 9, 2007 – Reps Meeting @ 9:00 AM and Coaches Meeting @ 1:30 PM both at     Greenfields.

Ø      All who attend Stroke and Turn certification and Starter/Referee clinics in 2006 (which was mandatory for all due to rule changes) do not need to attend certification this year.  Certification is good for two years.

Ø      One certification session only this year @ 10:30 AM at Greenfields.  This would be for NEW Stroke and Turn and Starter/Referee.

Ø      All information will be available on the Tri Co web page.

Ø      Reminder to all Reps – there will be two boxes of materials for each club to pick up at this meeting.  Come ready to take it all.

Ø      Tri County Championships 2007 will have only two heats of Finals and Consolations on Sunday.  Only the top 6 relays (one heat) will swim on Sunday.  Only the top 12 individuals and relays will score at this meet.

Ø      All relays are timed finals.

Ø      Many changes (27) in the Tri County Qualifying Times for 2007.  They are posted on the Tri County web page.

 

Computer

Ø      Joe Crick stated the goal was to keep Saturday Preliminaries of the Tri County Championship Meet to 6 heats for each individual event.

Ø      Computer Training schedule was distributed (May 22 & 24).

Ø      Championship Entry CHANGE – all relays will be entered electronically.  The new information and instructions are included in this year’s manual.

 

B Meets

Ø      Schedule is now set.

 

Tri County Championship Meet

Ø      Presentation was made by Dale Keith, the meet director for Erlton Swim Club in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Ø      All information was distributed to the reps in a packet.

Ø      T Shirt samples were also distributed to all reps.

 

Old Business

None

 

New Business

Ø      Banners that were left at Meadowbrook after the Championship Meet in 2006 were all returned at this meeting.

Ø      Old Orchard Mini Meet information was distributed.

Ø      Kids Supporting Kids Triathlon on June 10th at Old Orchard.  Information is to be e-mailed by them.

Ø      All clubs were asked to check the directions to their club and their web addresses or any other informational changes.  Please e-mail all of the above to Kathy Fitzpatrick at fitzsix@comcast.net.

 

Next meeting is Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 9:00 AM at Greenfields Swim Club.
