MINUTES OF THE TRI COUNTY MEETING              July 10, 2008  

 

President Gene Howard called the meeting to order at 7:36 PM at Wedgewood Swim Club. 

 

Minutes were approved from the June 2008 meeting.

 

Treasurer’s Report

Ø      Treasurer’s Report was published and issued.

Ø      Splash Fees will probably increase.

Ø      Steve reminded all reps to bring a blank check to the Woodcrest meeting on 7/24/08.

 

Computer

Ø      Remember the changes to qualifying times after week 3 which was done to increase the number of swimmers in certain events.  Double check with your computer person.

Ø      Reminded all reps (and/or their computer person) to check with all swimmers who have qualified in more than 2 individual events and see what they want to swim.

Ø      Joe also stressed the importance of the computer people to start “playing” with their Championship entries.  Do prep work now for the championship meet.

Ø      Reps will proof all entries at the Woodcrest Seeding meeting.

Ø      Check to make sure all of your qualified relays will or will not swim at the Championship meet.

 

David Katz / Swimming Coordinator

Ø      Will send an e-mail for Tri Co Championship Meet assignments (3 sheets: one for timers, one for stroke & turn and one for Clerk of Course).

Ø      Timers must bring watches as back up.  Timers can share the assignment with others from their club.

Ø      Clerk of Course persons can share but ALL must attend the initial meeting at the start of each session.

Ø      A & B clubs only are assigned to work Awards for Sunday of the Tri Co Championship meet.  Each club must send one person to the awards table.

Ø      Every team MUST have someone to stay until the END of the meet on Sunday to pick up the awards.  Nothing will be released until the meet is over and all awards have been issued.

Ø      Food Vouchers will be issued to Reps and coaches by David.

Ø      Admission is free for Reps, coaches and starters/referees (as determined by David).

Ø      ALL others pay.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

Ø      Warm-up schedules, parking permits, etc. will be handed out at the Woodcrest Seeding meeting.

 

 

Championship Meet: Pheasant Run

Ø      Bill Sepich addressed the parking situation for this meet.

Ø      Shuttle buses will be provided.

Ø      Please allow Pheasant Run members to use all other clubs Thursday, July 31st through Sunday, August 3rd.  Their members will have ID.

Ø      Goodie Bags for all swimmers will be given out as they leave on Saturday, August 2nd.

Ø      Bring tents anytime after NOON on Friday, 8/1/08.

Ø      All shirt pre-orders are due this Sunday.

Ø      Team Ads are due Saturday, 7/19/08.

Ø      Comcast information is due by e-mail by Wednesday, 7/30/08.

 

Old Business

Ø      Graduating Seniors information MUST be sent to Gerry Wixted by noon tomorrow.  If not sent, those swimmers will be left off the list.

 

New Business

Ø      Colin Finnigan of Whitman Square is looking to “team up” with another club for the 2009 Tri County Championship Meet.  His club does not have the physical space to hold the meet and needs a club who has the space.  Please contact him if interested in discussing.

Ø      Secretary is needed for TCSPA for 2008-2009.

 

Next meeting is the Seeding meeting on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 7:30 PM at Woodcrest Swim Club.

 

First meeting in the fall is Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 8:00 PM at Riverton Country Club.
